The Heatwave stool was inspired by the heat waves that hit India in 2015 and raises thoughts about climate change's destructive effects. The 45-plus degree heatwaves caused the asphalt to melt, along with the painted pedestrian lanes. The object reflects this phenomenon, where form moves from equilibrium to disorder, only to return to its starting point again. The entire piece of furniture resembles a wave, with both the wooden seat and the metal frame of the stool changing depending on the viewing perspective.
